Common Ground

When I think about 'common ground', I think about the heart of a leader. Not just one who leads or on the front lines of business or other. But one that has walked the road the rest of us may still be on. A leaders that has experienced loss of many different types. One that has been through the ups and downs of life, business and the emotions involved. One that has experienced frustration, even defeat and found a way to get back up and go further than he or she has ever been before. I believe with all my heart, what becomes one of the most valuable characteristic that attracts us to a great leader is 'common ground'. It has become one of the most beautiful rewards I have every experienced in leadership. What I thought would hurt me if people saw that I had been knocked down, actually did the exact opposite and became one of my greatest assets. To my surprise, people found something common in what I was going through, because they were going through similar situations themselves.
When I think of great leaders I think of King David. Here he was just anointed as a would be king. He slays Goliath and becomes a mighty warrior and before he knows it he is running for his life for the next 14 years. Hiding in a cave and suffering great emotional loss and fears of every kind. Can you imagine the mental battle he was going through? Here he thought his life was about to become an absolute dream and the next thing he knows he's running for his life... For a very long time. But here's my point. It was in that 14 year period of living with the pain of experience that not only gave him the wisdom he would need to be a great king when his time would come, but it gave him great favor through 'common ground' with thousands! his people didn't just respect him, they loved him! He eventually became arguably Israels greatest king that ever lived. If your desire is to be a great leader of any kind, there is a beautiful lesson along the journey, don't miss the treasure in your trial. Here is one of them. Pain brings humility and "humility" isn't weakness it's strength and can become so attractive to those that are fighting for the hope to one day become great, that we find the 'common ground' to dare to believe for another day, and to win the battle of becoming a leader ourselves. I believe with all that has been said here, greatness is truly found low. That's all for now... Until tomorrow... Overcome! If this blog leaves you feeling, please take the time to leave a comment. Thank you so much!

'Exposing The Network Marketing Industry'

Growing up and having a father that was a hard working small business owner, shaped the way I approached the world of business when I became an adult. My dad said "go to school, get good grades and then learn a trade and become self employed and you will always be able to put food on the table. So that's exactly what I did. I must admit owning several business' throughout the last 25 years did in fact put food on the table, however, there was always a struggle when it came to having 'free time' and taking a vacation for longer than a week became less of an option. If I did... It only brought on more stress when I returned. I began to feel like I did not own my business at all. It owned me! Then I met my first mentor and the first thing he said to me is; "from the neck down you will always be able to put food on the table, BUT, from the neck up... you can make as much as you want". That is when I began to re think my approach to business and 'time freedom' which is the desire of most hard working small business owners.
My first exposure to Network Marketing was one of caution and distrust. After all, aren't they all pyramids? I was never taught anything about it through traditional education, therefore it has to be a scam right? Wrong! what I found is that it is one of the most fair business models out there today. In fact, financial giants like Warren Buffet, Richard Branson, Time Warner, City Bank etc, have become owners of some of these Network Marketing companies. Even Donald Trump owns one. The truth is, this industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world today. They have become like invisible franchises, and the start up costs can be less than $500 with very little overhead. It remains one of the only business' out there that allow you to build a global business without any trucks, warehouses, shipping or employees while receiving residual income paid weekly. A small business owners dream! Now I can see why Robert Kiyosaki says it's an Industry who's time has come. I'm very thankful that I chose to engage in this amazing industry and have become one of the top leaders in the world. It is truly a business where anyone can change their life and undeniably worth taking a second look at. Well that's all for now look for my blog tomorrow. Until then... Overcome!

'Run To The Dream'

Run to the dream!
Through the pain and the struggle, and through the fear that darkens your path. Draw from the courage that lays dormant inside of you. Cultivate it with hope and passion. Imagine what could be, if you stay committed. Fight through your season to live with victory. Its worth it! It's worth every tear, every dark hour, and every frustration to capture your elusive dream. It's worth the fight to walk away with the wisdom that can only be gained through all the pain involved in overcoming!!! It's worth it! The brave may not live forever... But those that live in fear, do not live at all!
Overcome!

'Remember Your Dream'

I've been all over the world and looked into the eyes of many people and the story is always the same... Most people have given up on their dreams and live in a place of defeat. If this is you, now is the time to remember who you are! Now is the time to go back to the day when you believed that you could do anything you put your mind too. Remember the deep desire you had for the dream that was in your heart. The time when you had hope. Remember who you are! there is a plan for your life. If it were not so, you wouldn't have dreamed or imagined a life of walking out what made you happy. Get back to what excites you... that's your real passion! You were born to do great things. Only believe and take action!
Overcome!
